Overview:
The Media Relations Intern will coordinate the writing and distribution of all team information for the Dynasty including news releases, media guide/yearbook, statistics, player biographies, etc. and will be responsible for the dissemination of all information, and the placement of this information in major media outlets.
The majority of the work can be done via computer/internet, but would require face time with the General Manager, Head Coach and players.
Responsibilities:
Establishing relationships with the local media
Writing news releases on players, club, camps, games (1-3 per week)
Placing features/interviews in local papers, publications, TV news and radio
Updating and maintaining an email database
Assisting with press conferences/media events
Assistant editor of Dynasty yearbook/media guide
Updating and maintaining the photo library
Oversee the dissemination of all team information
Assist in selling tickets
Reports to General Manager
Position may gain additional experience in the areas of sales, game-day management, and corporate sales department. A Dynasty intern experience will offer a full range of business know-how, not limiting intern to one department.
Requirements:
15-20 hours per week requirement - Must be available to work on game nights for Dynasty games
Access to a computer (preferably laptop, but not required), internet
Strong writing, editing and organizational skills
Transportation to and from Dynasty office
Microsoft office knowledge recommended, not required
Ability to work in a team environment, achieve specific goals
